FAQ

How do I book a Workshop?

It couldn't be easier, just choose the workshop you want to do. Book on line and pay via the secure online booking. You'll then be contacted by email to confirm your place. Places on the workshops are limited, so once you decide which workshop you want to do and have booked and your payment has been accepted and confirmed, your place is secure.

As the Workshops are designed to allow enough time to complete the project, you will be expected to arrive in time for the start of the Workshop and stay until the end to have enough time to finish the garment or project. They are run to a time schedule and if you arrive late you will miss the first steps and will have to catch up to the group. Handouts are given at the end of the workshop.

What happens if I am late or have to leave before the end of the Workshop?

A Sewing Kit.  Your chosen fabric for the project with matching thread.  A contrasting thread for tacking.  Lunch. Any other equipment stipulated for the Workshop Project.  A mid-range Computerised Electronic sewing machines is provided for every students use throughout the workshop, however, if you wish to use your own sewing machine, please bring this along, your own Sewing Machine in good working order, including power lead, your Sewing Machine Manual or instruction manual.

What should my Sewing Kit contain?

Once receipt of your application and payment have been confirmed, that place is booked and secured. As places are limited and Workshops are subject to minimum numbers, your payment is non-refundable. Fees will only be refunded in the event of the course not running. I do not make refunds. However in some extreme cases you may be able to transfer to another workshop at a different time and I will do my utmost to re-sell your place.

What if I find I cannot attend a course once I have booked

You could enrol onto one of the other workshops to further your knowledge or have some Private One-to-One Lessions to expand on your sewing skills and learn different techniques.

What could I go on to do after I finish the workshop?

It says 'Beginner Workshop' – I've never sewn before! Will the workshop be suitable for me?

You need to be competent in using your own sewing machine and able to do a straight stitch. The Project Workshops are not for students that have never sewn before, they are not to teach you the basics of sewing, or to get to know your own sewing machine. If you have never sewn before, then why not take one of our "Learn to Sew" Beginners Workshop beforehand and then go onto a Project Workshop?
