About me
I love to inspire and help people. I find inspiration from all areas of life.
My Design Philosophy
Making your own unique garments and home furnishings is so rewarding, it's only as limited as your imagination
I created Sew Perfectly to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to make the things you’ve always dreamed of making.
After studying Fashion Design many years ago, I went on to run my own bridal wear shop, where for nearly eight years, I designed and made wedding attire for some of Yorkshire’s premier bridal parties.
Ever since I can remember I wanted to sew. As a little girl I used to make clothes and hats for my barbie doll. I later went onto to study Millinery, both in Melbourne Australia and at Leeds Art College.
I love meeting people and helping them to perfect their skills. Students of all levels come to me – from complete beginners, who have never used a sewing machine before, right up to the to the experienced sewer who has been sewing years, but wants to perfect their skills. Maybe you just can't get the perfect fit or want to learn how to adapt patterns. Perhaps you'd like to learn more complex techniques to give garments that high-class look.
Another one of my passions is to independently travel to far-flung places like India and Laos in the Far East and Ecuador in South America to name but a few. I meet beautiful people and experience lots of different cultures and ideas, gaining inspiration and getting the old creative juices flowing along the way.
